Winter Camp is a great time to be at Camp Sol Mayer. Our staff is focused on providing your unit the best Winter Camp Program in the state of Texas!
Camp Sol Mayer is a hidden gem of Scouting, and Winter Camp at Camp Sol Mayer is the highlight of the Texas Southwest Council Calendar. Scouts can expect to engage in active and exciting programs while attending Winter Camp.
Additionally, we are excited to be partnering with the Buffalo Trail Council this winter to make Winter Camp better than ever!

Winter Camp 2023 will be held at Camp Sol Mayer, TX, December
27-30.
How Much is Winter Camp?
The cost for
attendance follows this basic grid:

Youth | $80.00 | $100.00 | $125.00 |
Adult | $45.00 | $65.00 | $85.00 |
Early registration goes until October 31st, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Late registration begins on December 1st, 2022. Registration closes on December 21, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
Some classes at Winter Camp
have an associated materials fee. These fees are posted on Tentaroo (the registration platform) and in the 2023 Program Guide.
Can Parents attend Winter Camp?
If they are registered with the Boy Scouts of America,
yes! All adults, who are planning to stay overnight at Winter Camp, must
be registered with the Boy Scouts of America, and must have: a current
BSA Health and Medical Record (Parts A and B), current BSA Youth Protection Training, and have completed a background check authorization within the last 12 months.

Staff Information
Our Staff is currently made up of all volunteers who possess unique and valuable qualities; the expectation of our staff is that they are charismatic, hard-working, team oriented, and are willing to do everything they can to make our camping events memorable for all the Scouts who attend.
Our staff team is like a family, helping each other as they provide the best possible experience for each camper, and keeping up with each other after camp ends. Additionally, staffing our winter camp is a great resume builder, which can lead to summer camp or high adventure jobs, and more!
