What is Jamboree?
National Scout Jamborees are one of Scouting’s pinnacle events. It’s a gathering of approximately 30,000 Scouts, leaders, and staff that showcases everything that is great about the BSA and its members. Held every four years, the Jamboree is an amazing opportunity for participants, volunteers, and visitors to experience the best of Scouting, all in one place. Features include; one of the longest zip line courses in North America, a world-class skate park, ATV offerings, treetop canopy tours, rock climbing, patch trading, stadium shows, and much more! Many Jamboree Alumni said their experience was one of the most memorable adventures during their years in Scouting.
Texas Southwest Council is planning on hosting a troop of 36 youth and 4 adults. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!

Where is Jamboree?
The Summit Bechtel Reserve is home to the National Scout Jamboree. Situated in the wilds of West Virginia, The Summit is a training, Scouting, and adventure center for the millions of youth and adults involved in the Boy Scouts of America and anyone who loves the outdoors. The CFC contingent will travel to the Summit in chartered motor coaches accompanied by trained and experienced adult scout leaders. The Summit is a place that takes Scouts and Venturers to the limits of what they think they can do, and then pushes them further.
The 2026 National Jamboree is open to Scouting America, Venturing, Explorer, and Sea Scouts, 12 and up!

What's Next?
Here’s how you can lock-in your spot for this unique Scouting adventure. Spots are limited, so we highly encourage you to confirm your spot as soon as possible. The approximate cost will be $3000. The Council Jamboree committee does their best to deliver value when planning for the Jamboree, however, there are costs that are beyond the control. For example, transportation contracts cannot be signed until much closer to the actual Jamboree departure date and prices may change. We will continue to make cost effective and prudent decisions to make the trip affordable. The Contingent Jamboree fee includes 10 days at Jamboree plus transportation, lodging, side-trip excursion, pre-jamboree training, meals, shirts, luggage, patches and additional Jambo swag items.
A $300 (non-refundable) deposit will hold your place on the 2026 Jamboree Contingent. Once the deposit is submitted, monthly payments must be made until the balance is paid in full. Payment schedule is currently under development and will be posted.
